Lovely. Glad I went through all the trouble. If nothing else at least my posting got the rest of the big manufacturers off their asses. Who knows how much longer they would have sat there milking all they could get out of the more expensive parts.

Todd, that's not exactly how it is. This has been in the works with R&D for well over a year so I don't think you prompted them to get off their ass so to speak.

Also, they would much rather sell affordable ECU reprograms to the masses than a few high dollar ECU's with very little profit margin. In the grand scheme of things, doing ECU reflashes will be more profitable for them. They weren't exactly "milking" all they could out of us by selling the stand alone ECU's, it's just that's all that was available to those of us that wanted a stock ECU alternative.

So I take it they invested the money to either buy the equipment it takes to read & write to the ECUs or developed their own?

I don't have the answer on whether they purchased the equipment or developed their own but the fact remains is they do have the ability and have come up with calibrations for different levels of modifications.

Ok now with this the powershot becomes obsolete right? The ECU can add fuel to make the correct AFR's?

IMHO, unless you are just bound and determined to use a Powershot yes.
