I have three skis with 4tec motors. all three are going to have aftermarket ecus next summer. Aftermarket ecus dont always come with keys. The two that I have purchased already did not. I dont want to re-program the keys I have because they married to my stock ecus which I plan to keep just in case. I also need a spare.

all i gotta say is damn son, u don't mess around!...
How do u pair a aftermaket ECU with the keys? Still gotta use Buds?

Yes, thats why im trying to gather it all together now- so I only have to make ONE trip to the dealership. If they are going to charge me an hours labor for ten minutes worth of work, I want to get my money's worth.

I'm not sure about the aftermarket ecu's, but i know with the stock ones, you can program like 4 skis to use the same key.....

I was not aware of that. If thats the case, I only four keys total. One for each ski and one spare. Thanks for the heads up Mike. Ill look into that.

No problem. Let me know what the dealer charges you for that. I've got to make a trip there this spring for a little key programming.

It depends on your dealer. I had the error code "compass out of range" last summer and the dealer turned it off for free even though it took them about ten minutes...
Steve and I are trying to put together all of the buds issues we have so we can make one trip to the dealer which may involve four skis and three cars.. .
If your dealer wants an hours labor for that one key, you can send it to me and Ill do it at the same time I do mine.
