I just got home....
Short story, my spinal cord is being "pinched" by the "bones" in the L3-5 area.
Going to try steroids, shots, and physical therapy first. Hoping this will be enough so I can function again.
If that does not work, Ginsu time. Didn't ask what is involved with that....I don't want to even think about it.
On the good side, I got out of the house today under my own power. Even drove the Stealth to the Dr office.
Also, more meds for me to try.
This sucks, but it could be so much worse. So I am happy it's only what it is.

There are a number of ways to fix nerve impingement without surgery, so definitely try all of those first. You don't want to undergo surgery in that area if you can help it.

Weird thing about all of this, my PCP had this done early last year by the Dr. I am seeing now. She is now back to 100%. Only problem is, she may be fine, but I could be the one to get f'd up even more.
I am making progress, little bit every day. My first shot in on Feb. 1

I wish you the best... It never gets back to 100%... I'm on shoulder surgery 2 on my left side... The doc that did it the second time did a better job I think, but I did do a little more P/T this time around. I just hate being so weak since both surgeries have been within the last 4 years.

It's probably disc impingement on the thecal sac, which tweaks the nerves. Seen it all the time in my job.
I had something similar in my neck, C4-C6, about two years ago. Went through cervical traction for six weeks in the mornings, and it made a world of difference. Still bothers me, but it's as good as it's going to get without surgery.
Best wishes, bro. Hope it works out. Make sure you get a nurse/PT with big boobies. It definitely takes the pain away quicker. I, of course, had a damn dude with a beard.

2nd the cute P/T, you'll be more apt to do it! Physical Therapy that is.
