Do I need Riva Metal Washers?
Perhaps this question should've gone on the X-Charger Rebuild thread...Anyway,
I've been running with the OEM metal washers on my 2008 RXT 215 for 80 hours now. Lots of time spent in chop, all in salt water and I have not had any problems.
I'm about to remove my charger and ship it to Jerry to have it rebuilt. My question is, should I be purchasing the Riva Metal washers in addition to the OEM rebuild kit? Are the Riva washers worth their price, in comparison to the stock washers I've been using? What makes them so much better?

I would..There has been cases of the OEM metal washers acually splitting into pieces..Jerry will also probley recommend the same thing..

just ask jerry to let you know , if he says you need them you need them as there is no one better qualified to work on the SC's

Definately go with the Riva metal washers.
My OEM Seadoo ones on my 08 T-X fell apart at 38 hrs and destroyed the motor.
Motor was completely rebuilt and Jerry rebuilt my charger with the Riva washers. 20 hrs on the clock since the rebuild and they still look okay.

Hmm, I guess I need to take care of this on my new x-charger.....
