A paint color opinion needed....
Okay folks... I have a buddy with a paint shop, and he is going to hook me up. I have been wanting to paint my ski hugger orange with black trim for a while... How much crap am I going to get from everyone?

Flat black with ghost decals looks crazy! By far the best paint job I have seen. Looks real clean and old school in a way. The way it looks in the water is really cool too.

That one is about a year old now..!
I know there are some pictures on a camera somewhere of some pretty extreme wave jumping going on..
A complete Orange paint job might be a little bit much..?
It would need quite a bit of graphics to break it up..
My only concern with a metalic paint on the bottom of a hull is..
Should you beach it or burst through the lacquer some how.
Then you will get some water intrusion into the colour coats..
The black base on mine is done with two pack commercial paint.. (think vans and trucks)
It's getting very difficult to get any two pack paint here in the UK nowadays..
Its all water based crap now.. (the only good thing about it is washing the gun out under the sink tap)

Well... Mine will not be metallic. And it is going to be a single stage paint. I don't want to deal with clear coat. He is going to do it super thick on the bottom, probably several coats. And it will be broken up by some graphics, as I have a hook up on that as well.

GO TO EXOTICS GRAFIX TOOL start out with orange everything and see what looks good to you ..f' them!!
deleat the decals entirely till you get a good top and bottom combo, pop some color into the seat to give you some lines of contrast (a solid black seat gets too hot here in the south)...remember your rails are black and generally your mats are too if you play the decal color combos right , you can break up long solid color panels nicely...
