PROpain...now we're cooking with gas!
It's time to start building my '97 Pro 785 I bought off Craigslist. The ski is in great shape. There's no cracks in the foot wells, it's a very nice hull, the downside is the motor ingested water and is more suited as a boat anchor than a power plant. I'm not positive but I think the problem stems from the stock water routing on the pipes which allowed water to back up into the motor if you let it idle for extended periods of time before pulling it up a ramp.
Unlike my SLTX project, I won't be rebuilding the motor...It was cheaper to just buy one. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Lugs785. He's been a HUGE help and after many phone calls and PM's I have a Polaris brother from another mother. I don't remember all the details but I do remember Bob said the motor had 10 hours on a new Polaris crank, pistons, and Millennium plated cylinders, maybe Bob can fill in the details.
Just like the SLTX project, I'll post plenty of pictures along the way. The only difference is the Pro is getting a lot more mods.

The hull doesn't have any of the cracks the '97's are known for but I will have to reinforce the foot wells. Hyoctane23 was nice enough to send me some lexan and templates.

This motor has less than ten hours on it it was built by Lake of the Ozarks MotorSports with a Brand new Polaris crank and the cylinders where all redone by Millenium all new pistons ,rings bearings ETC this motor is a rocket of course it had Hotseat pipes on it but it still will rock and by mid summer we will get Tony a set of HotSeat pipes so he really can feel the Power of a 785
