many are probably going to ask why 2 completely diff sponsons and not just a adjustable fin/paddle? The bolts holding the fins/paddle's to the backing plate on other aftermarket sponsons require maint. and personally dont think are as safe when trying to turn a 90+mph watercraft. Also fin/paddle angle on the JD closed course sponson is greatly improved for easier hard cornering in unpredictable chop. Hope this helps

Hate to ask (a stupid question) but... what's the steering systems do?

    Does mine steer poorly stock?

Also, do the closed course sponsons scrub a ton of speed off? I noticed when I shimmed my ride plate .090" it was a lot looser than it was at .045" and I liked it a bit tighter. BUT I don't want to loose too much top speed...

I have the same question.... I like a tighter feel also. I like the Riva sponsons set in the most aggressive setting. I'm also wondering how much speed is lost with the JD CC plate.

$70.00 cheaper, I like how it is smoothed and rounded vs square, and looks like it bolts from the bottom on the clamps which is cool cause water likes to sit and corrode when the bolts are on the top plus it says "JD" on it so it must be faster 2
