Thinking about getting the FZR
I am getting prepared to buy an FZR for 2010, but then I just saw this video:
Now, I am really confused!

I have been following your FZR fix-it-up thread and listening to your sage advice... and believe I am going to go with the FZR this summer. I really don't want to spend more the $2K on mods to get to the 80MPH range. I don't know if that is possible, but the new posts RE: ECU flashing are starting to make this goal a reality. I just hope the FZR can keep up with the fast Doos on my lake on Sunday afternoon?

I will definitely find some dealer in April that I can drive to and test one of these puppies before I plunk down the cash. I won't make that mistake again. Buying a new ski at a boat show in February jut doesn't cut it any more with me.
The best possible scenario for me is: Go to a dealer with my RXT-X on my dual trailer and with my GPS in hand and go for a comparison ride. If it rides, accelerates and has a better top speed than my RXT-X... I will take the FZR on the spot, if not... I leave. Better, yet… if the dealer takes my RXT-X in on trade, it will put a big grin on my face. Do you know any dealers that will give me a fair shake on this deal?

I am also in VA... look up Whelan's Marina in Farnham VA (other side of Warsaw)... ask for Keith. Good guy... will make you a good deal and will be honest with you.
I have bought a few crafts from him (including my current 08 SHO) and have no complaints.

Its more than pure speed, even though we all like speed. The yamaha just rides nice and turns very well, there is not much differance in speed. If you get a chance to ride both on the same day as I have, you will see the differance....you may even like the sea-doo better....I really like the way the yamaha handles the water, in straight line it rides level (no side lean dog walk) yet in a turn the fzr lean's like a motor cycle.....name your area and maybe someone will let you ride theirs..im in dfw and you can take my fzr out for a spin you wish, it does have a few mods but you will get the picture......one pull with the c-3 wheel kickin and you will be hooked. I dont ride my gpr much anymore even though it is much faster than my fzr. The fzr is just a nice ride....its like a mercedes s-600....fyi imho.
