Blown Steering and exit nozzle at near 80 on T-X!

Guys I was testing Rays (Sundances) T-X the other day after installing his new IC and at about upper 70's the dam thing sound and felt like it blew the bottom off of it. I S#!t myself. After we towed it back to the dock this is what we found. Pics bellow. I figure the Revers some how popped down is all I can figure. What do ya'll think?

I had something similar happen on my RXT last year, was drifting into a dock, pulled reverse and pinned the throttle, I just broke the reverse arm and part of the steering nozzle.

been throwing the speedster into reverse at 35+mph for a while now doing subs, never had a pump blow apart like that, i have however ripped the plastic apart on the reverse grate, that looks like u must have fully yanks the reverse at top speed and u would have known it trust me.

I had the same issue while dock onto the trailer I put it in reverse and gave it the slightest tap on the trottle and clunk KKKKKKK. cracked the reverse gate in half and bent all of the assembly rods. once I replaced the bucket I had all types of unlinment issues with my opas since the rods were all bent, it took me some time slowly bending the rods back into place until I go the allinment back in place. Not a fun thing to happen at 5mph, let alone upper 70 ouch.

Guys this was at around 77mph, so needless to say it was like a big boom behind me and nearly threw me off. So are ya'll thinking what I am the reverse some how came down? It was in smooth water. If you all saw in front of Rays dock it is glass. SO maybe some how the water exiting the pump grabbed the reverse gate and BOOM? I did not pull the reverse handle.

damn that would take alot of force to pull that down at full speed, i know how hard i have to pull on the lever at 35.

Not saying that isn't what happened, but if the reverse bucket came down at 77mph I would have expected to see the plastic bucket and linkage part broken before the pump nozzle, that's what I've seen broken in the past.

the spring that holds the bucket up could have popped off or broke
