    Question Sticking Reverse Bucket

I have a 1998 XL760. When the PWC is off the reverse bucket moves fine back and forth. When the motor is running and I'm at idle speed, it seems to hang up when moving from fwd to reverse and back. Any ideas where to start checking?

Your cable may be getting due for replacement.

Also, since your ski is 12 years old. If it's not the cable, make sure you lube all the moving parts to help smoothin it out for you.

Thanks for the advise. I lubed up everything when I winterized it. I'll have to check it again once the snow finishes melting here in Virginia

gillman81, did you determine the cause of the problem? My '98 XL1200 won't shift from reverse to fwd without shutting off the engine.
