2007 GTI Meter Assembly
I have a 2007 GTI that suffered a wet meter assembly. I installed a good
used one and the boat would not start. Infact I tried 2 different known good meter assemblies with still a no start mode. I installed the old one a she fired right up. Does the replacement meter have to be programmed to the ECU???
Thanx in a advance, Mitchel.

Yep, has to be programmed. The hours or something is stored in the gauges.

It sure does.
Goes under part replacement on the last tab of BUDS.

so when installing a new guage cluster, it needs to be sync with your ecu thru BUDS?
