Thread: Water Injestion?

I have actually never flipped my 06 rxp, but I was wondering if after I install the Riva 3" front intake setup, if it flips, is water injestion very likely after turning it back over? The stock setup seems pretty fool proof. Also the rectifier is placed next to the stock intake. Is this for cooling purposes and is there any probloms after moving it from there? Maybe overheating it? I rather know the answers than not.

First off let me say Welcome to GH !!!!!!
With any air intake system you are prone to water injestion..With the Riva intake setup yes you can injest water if the ski is turned upside down..Alot of the guys including myself run a 4 inch air intake up front were the OEM air intake would be..This helps in aiding against injestion at the same time enhancing performance over the 3 inch intake

Do you mount the 4" lower in the hull to prevent that so it not under water during a flip over?

And thanks for the welcome. I read alot but not posting anything yet...just learning from other text. I ask today because I have a worried wife. she says you wanna do what...I knew I was doomed form the start. Oh well I get her to come around. She s a speed demon too!

You wont regret it..The RXP is real hard to tip over unless your really really screwing around or are on lake michigan on a bad day...Thats awsome shes a speed demon..We have quite a few women over here that are like that too..My wife got bit a couple years ago and keeps wanting me to make her ski faster too...

Lake Winona right in the midlle of town. And you're right...I have never flipped it as I have been riding for about ten years or so. Usually I worry about the inexperienced family member that lean funny or mount funny, that all.

well let me be the first to say on this thread, that if u start modding ur ski u stop letting other ride it cause thats how bad things happen.

Thats why you give the family members and in-experianced rides the learning key
Winona Lake..Ive seen that lake many times and would love to tear ass a couple times on that lake...
