oil change pump
which pump do you prefer for removing waste oil. the electric pumps or the vacuam style. thanks

I use something like this.
I looked at an electric one, but the hastle of the cord and such. The pump ones work just as well, you just pump and it does the rest.
Simple in this case is better.

I use one made by Hydro Turf called the called the Smart Tool Oil Extractor.

I use a 2.5 gallon vacuum pump called Oil Bouy, or something like that. I also use it on by boat that has twin 454's and hold 7 quarts each. That pump must be 15 years old and still works great. But, one word of caution: never use it on a hot car or truck engine. If the dipstick tube is close to the exhaust manifold, the nylon hose from the pump will melt like taffy and if you're lucky (I was) will pull back out, but be about 4 times longer (and 4 times thinner) than it used to be...
