    aftermarket camshaft...worth it??

    Hey guys

    It is P-X with 2rude or extreme SC will all supporting mods ( including ECU )

    What kind of gain we would get from aftermarket camshaft such as Rotax B cam...stronger holeshot and acceleration or more top end?

    What do u think guyz?

    Get hold of a "28" 04 cam they are the 1s to have and alot cheaper than any of the aftermarket offereings.

    Although it will be hard to find.

    I havent read all that much about the aftermarket cams being all that although this could be down to the cost stopping many being sold so not getting much feedback.

    I would ask some1 like MRRacing, he will have no doubt run most of the availible cams. R88

    Is it worth it. NO. Going over 85mph with stock cam, unported head, no torque plate, unported exhaust manifold, etc. Basically stock engine with 2Rude and ecu. Save your money for other stuff.

    Need to help the flow across the head, and just cam phasing alone will have little or no benefit.

    Open the doors for gas to flow, and make sure the highway is clear for it to run.

    the .28 20054 CAM, is not a performance cam , it is just not so prone for valvefloat. ( with proper valve springs and retainers, or and light valves, no problem on other cams as well)
    also the ROTAX RACING CAMs are saver for the Valve train at high RPMs
    both the 4224 and 6224 CAMs have 1 mm more Intake lift, that will for sure not hurt performance, but there is more then that to the ROTAX Cams. they are very expensiv , and not worth if you have a limit budget, as you can make 80 + with stock Cams.

    for best overall performance and high hp on low boost and high RPM you neeed a better Cam then stock. the accelleration is much better with RR Cams

    like jp 1300r say , it is not worth because he is at 85 mph without CAM

    ok, im at 88.2 with CAM and 3 blade prop and 14-15 psi B-Kit, also no Tourqe plate , and only Intake porting so the CAMs are worth something

    but they are no option if your budget is only 5000 USD for performance parts, and like jp 1300r would say you can buy other parts with more effect
