    Loss of RPM's over a period of time??? Help

    Hi I have just recently had a race engine built for my 2008 RXT about 20hrs ago, the ECU is programmed to do about 9100rpm's.

    Over a period of time I have gradually been loosing RPM's it went from 8900rpm - 8700rpm - 8500rpm and for the hell of me we cant put our finger on whats going on, I was hoping someone else that has been in the same predicament could help with some advice.





    We have been over the following things so far:
    1. Checked for flapping baffles in the water box.
    2. Rebuilt the supercharger an hour ago.
    3. Checked coils.
    4. Checked fuel pressure.
    5. Leak down test.
    6. Checked for any signs of engine wear.
    • All of these things are fine
    The next step is to do a pressure test through the External Intercooler into the modified intake manifold to see if there are any leaks.

    If anyone else has any more ideas please throw them my way.

    Have you checked your pump out?

    Pump shoe intact?

    Prop looking good?

    rebuilt charger after 20hrs

    Heat Fade..you running the open loop...

    Is this the Les built RXT

    When the machine is pushing 350hp, 20hr rebuild is recommended.

    Open loop is in place & Temps are all good

    Are you monitoring A/F? Any major weather changes?

    are you losing boost? what the boost & AFR im guessing with that much motor work you have to have guages

    Check out your wear ring real good too. but this would make it cavitate and turn more rpms i guess not sure

    Wear ring is all good
    Yea the weather has changed over summer 35degC compared to 20-25degC
    No gauges fixed but will look into it. Was not recommended with the Mod's.

    If you aren't checking A/F running a 9100 ecu you are really asking for trouble and that is the first thing you need to do before you ride again. I bet it is running very lean, Hopefuly you have'nt done any damage. Let us know what you find.
