    Microtouch Rev limiter/Water Injection Help

I'm in the process of installing a used MicroTouch rev limiter and water injection. Can someone tell me what rpm the water injection turns off and on? I haven't bought the solenoid yet, but as soon as I put the DESS on the post I'm getting voltage. Shouldn't I not get voltage till I hit around 3500 rpm? I thinking the built in realay might be stock on.

On at 3k and starts pulsing at 5k. completely off at 5500 if I remember right.

    Welcome to GH!

So I shouldn't be getting 12 volts below 3k rpm or when the engine is off and DESS on? I wonder if it always sends 12 volts but cuts the amperage instead of cutting volts. I really don't want to buy a solenoid if this microtouch doesn't work.

It probably is bad. If it energized at idle it would fill excess water into the pipe. And I'm pretty sure the solenoid energizes to open.

The one I have is adjustable and can come on 1800 to 3500 off before 6500. if on bellow that the pipe would load up in wake zones and make it hard to start maybe even drain the battery.

Thanks guys. I went out to the garage today and hooked up a 12 volt relay to simulate a solenoid. It turned on at about 3500 and off after 6000. Looks like the MT increases the amperage to open the solenoid. Anyone know where I can get a cheap solenoid?

Cool...good move testing it under an actual load. Pest may be able to hook you up on a solenoid supplier.
