    Riva Pro-Series Sponsons

Anybody in the northern states running the Riva Pro-Series Sponsons? Looking to make my own custom set on the waterjet.

Stay with the stock sponsons, they perform better then the Riva's.

If you want better handling, drop the stockers,i believe it's a 24 mm drop.

you can gnot goo not lower as 22-23mm, because the sponsons will be lower as the hull on the mounting surface , you will get to much lift in the back and the ski will be extrem unstable on the straight, sweeping turns will be impossible at high speed

N issues with mine although I have filed down the rear edge of the sponson to be in line with the intersection of the hull when it goes diagonal toward the bottom of the hull, they are not allowed to drop below that point for racing under JSRA.

James himself told me to drop them 23mm and says that he runs his skis that way???

I have no problem taking bouys at 70mph sweeping turns in sea chop.

Malte Does know more on this subject than me im just saying what I have with my ski.

I think for most riders tho 20mm would be more than enough it does make a huge difference. plus it is a damn big saving on those Riva sponsons, yeh they look cool but not a as cool as the wake off a RXP pulling a hard corner. R88

like i say befor , 22-23 is max, james uses the max, to get the most accressiv handling. just no need to go lower then 22-23 mm

Do you loose a lot of speed at wot with the lowers sponsons?

I know this is mainly for close course racing, but i'm just curious if someone tested before and after speed numbers.
