    Talking Its all apart now

Ok got the 650 finally torn apart when i got the flywheel off everything else went smoothly and im very supprises that theres no scoring or any marks at all in the case halves.

Also the bearing on the crank should they be DEAD silent or have just a little noise to them?

You'll hear the bearings rolling around.

What you're really looking for is binding, sticking, dragging, etc...

Wash all the bearings out with a drgreaser or brake cleaner. Then spin all the bearings by hand.

Most will spin for 20-30 secs. If you have one that spins for 5-10 secs, that bearing may be failing.

Like Boe said, on the connecting rods, you'll have a little side to side play, but shouldn't have any up and down.

Xlint, your right. My bad!. Not silent! I just meant nice n smooth n quiet. Like as though you had a new one next to it all spinning the same amount.

    Cranks are press fit together.

They require presses and other equip to service them.

NOT the type of thing you can service at home.

Is just the rear bearing replaceable without pressing the crank apart?
