Thread: Oil Checking?

I check the oil in my GPR every trip out. It's easy, I just look in the container and add as need be. What should be the frequency of checking the oil in my wifes RXP? I read somehwere it should be warmed up in order to get a good reading. Just didn't know if the 4 strokes burn oil like the 2 strokes. When I do need oil which oil should I be purchasing? Thanks for any input guys.

If an RXP used oil like a GPR, there would be somethng seriously wrong with the RXP.
Warm the oil up, take it out for a run, then check it. Should be between the bends........
USe the same oil that you use when changing oil or BRP oil

With the engine at operating temperature:
Let it idle for 30 seconds
Kill the engine and wait 30 seconds
The oil should be halfway between the two bends on the stick.

I would suck some out. Over filled oil can cause loss of RPM's
