    The DESTROYER a RXX-RXP Conversion

After much thought and research I have decided to do a conversion ski. I know everyone has there doubts about using a RXX or RX hull for all kinds of reasons. I already have the RXX hull with 1020 BB and twins pipes so I think it's great to use. I can strip it down and sell the parts I don't need and get some money back that I am putting out on the 4-TEC. Plus this will be a conversion no one has ever done that I'm aware of or found during my research. If everything goes as planned I will be picking up everything Friday afternoon for the conversion. I haven't decided on the cooling yet as to open loop or closed loop. Going to keep everything stock to get a starting point on speed. I figure somewhere around 70 mph is a good starting goal. I have not set a time frame to have this completed as the wife's ski needs put back together and some other of the honey do stuff. I'm sure I will get plenty of criticism so lets make it positive and help the build. I am posting some pics of where I'm starting at. Hope to have everything stripped this weekend.

Just so everyone understands the thread title I told one of my friends what I was going to do and he asked why I was destroying such a rare ski. Well I told this to the gentleman that I am purchasing my conversion stuff from and he called me a DESTROYER. Well my first thought was that was a good thread title that would catch some attention and then he text me back and said that would be a good thread title.

i'll be watching!! i have an RX hull sitting right now at my shop complete but gutted inside... i also have a spare non-supercharged 4-tec motor laying around.... was thinking about tucking it inside the RX Hull... wouldn't be any kind of speed demon, but 155HP 4-stroke in a RX should be a smooth quick reliable ride

keep the thread up to date! would love to see how you make out with this. Love the RX hulls

    I love it!!!

If I could do one thing, it would be to find a way to mate the RXP access rear deck to the hull. It would take a competent body shop.

Cool, I just noticed it is the original lightweight rxx hull. I wouldn't plan on running offshore with it thats for sure but should make a great drag boat.
