fuel ron selection
hello guys what ron rating are most you guys running in your jetskis
im not sure what you have in the usa ?
but at my local servo ive got the following all are methanol, ethanol free
my jetski is only n/a kawa stx 15 is there any real benifit of running 98 in my ski or should i just stick with 95 ron
i mean the manual says 87 ron and above so im thinking 95 is plenty

I run 95 on my very slightly modded 15F.
The manual calls for 91 and our values are different to the US method.
I tried my ski on 98 but because its not tuned for high octane and the high octane burns slower so there is less bang if you get my drift.
On 98 it ran good but it runs faster and more responsive on 95 so thats what I use now.98 is wasting money
It runs good on 91 but most servos aroud here are ethanol blended 91 so i don't go there, not worth the risk.
95 and you will be happy mate.

Interesting that yor manual states 87 when my Aussie version states 91, shame on you for importing that beast.
The 87 US is about 91 here, and their 91-92 is our 95.
These skis will run good on 91Aussie as they are tuned for it but as more and more servos espescially here in QLD with the Gov. mandatory 91 ethanol blend coming into place its safer to put 95 in.
Thats what I run anyway.
I will be running 95 in my new FZS when it comes in to Aus with its American manual.
