Spending the winter in Virginia with all this bad weather has not helped testing my VX plate! Naturally the weather has been much nicer back in Florida!

I'm hoping for a break in the weather soon...

cold snap in Oklahoma's kept me in. Today's the first day >50 in two weeks.

Still waiting on some epoxy to cure in the voids of VX plate mounting bosses so couldn't make it on the water today. I hope to get on the water this weekend.

I'll also have info on whether milling the VX speedo mount to replicate the FZ plate geometry preserves the speedo functionality.

I'll be interested in your speedo mount findings...I compared to two plates yesterday, big difference!

No results yet, probably be Monday or Tuesday before I can get to the water.

However, the VX plate I received carries the following cast-in stock number "F1KU273B-0?". Last number (represented by a "?") has been ground off after casting. I would think that a change to the mold would also reflect an updated stock number and not require grinding.

This plate works great, typically a 3+ mph gain with no loss in handling. I have ridden several FZRs with a plate installed and they all had the same result . Heck I own 3 of these plates myself and I don't even own a FZR!

I noticed the same ground-off digit on my VX plate also.
