Arrow FS 1200 Hurricane PROJECT - needs engine (1200 or twin)

Like the title says, and I selling my 1997 polaris hurricane, I put a 1200 genesis carbed in it last spring. It has 40mm carbs, ocean pro flame arrestors, custom stinger, TDR water box (sounds great) and a custom fuel tank. The conversion was done, with the utmost care, I did not cut anything on the boat, so it could be converted back if someone wanted to.

The boat has about 85 hours on it (including the pump) the engine has 65 hours on it total. I will post some compression numbers and some pictures in the next couple of days.

The boat comes with a shoreland'r single trailer. I have the title for the PWC in hand and I will provide a bill of sale for the trailer. (ohio does not title light trailers at this time)

    Asking $3500.00 including trailer.

    Thanks Tim Atkinson

    Email me at [email protected]

It also comes with a brand new cover, It is still in the box.

It does need new hydro truff as one of the foot pads is coming up..

    Interesting Hurricane

Is the ride plate still stock, or extended length?
    Any handling mods?

What is the fuel capacity of the custom fuel tank?

    Oil injection tank still present?

Any idea how much the weight changed by installing the larger engine?

How does it handle with the added power/weight?

I have not done anything to the pump or the ride plate, the exterior of the boat is all still stock. I wanted to get the engine in and see how it rode. It is fast. I have a ton of money into it, so last summer, I decied to ride it, and not do anymore mods.

The fuel tank is custom built for th front of the ski, it holds just about 8 gallons of fuel. The oil injection had to be removed, for clearence and for the extra fuel.

I can not attest to before or after, on how it rides, because I bought this ski with a bad engine. I can tell you this, it is unstable getting on it, it will throw you off rather easy, but it has alot of power and it cuts through the water very well.

I will try to get some pictures up next week.

Yeah I go it running last spring/summerish. It runs great, I will try to get some pictures up soon, I have it stored in my garage and it is burried behind my boat, 2 other skis (polairs of course) and my 2 yamaha 4 wheelers, my toy box is getting full I needed to make room for the yamaha dirt bike.

It was a fun and intresting project, the only thing that sucked was I had a ton of problems getting the fuel tank done, I just had a hard time find someone who would do it, everyone said ok, but no one would follow through, but we got it done.

The pic under my name is when I first got it. Not much but gives you a general Idea, I will try to get some detailed engine compartment pics up soon.

    Thanks Tim

    I might be interested

How much more than a stock hurricane does this weigh?

    Pictures would be good.

Seat, hull and deck condition, other than the foot pads?
    MFD working?

Would it be possible to refit the oil injection system, or is there just no room?

Was the stock waterbox too big to fit, or was it changed just because?

I might need to figure out where I might source an extended ride plate, or have one fabricated...
We ride mostly large lakes and there is almost always some roughness.

8 hour drive one way for me

I do not know, I never had it weighed, I kinda worked on it, got it running, and then my add kicked in and I started on another project.

I Put a TDR water box on it just because, The stock one will fit with no problem, I will included it with the ski if the next guy wants it.

I have been very busy at work and I haven't had a chance to get it out and take some pictures, but I will try to do it sometime this weekend.

The seat has some minor fading due to the last owner left it outside for sometime, as does the handlebar pad, other than that all the stock graphics are there and in good shape. The MFD works fine, and every thing else works as it should.

The oil injection just will not fit, there just isn't enough room, the fuel tank was custom made and it is a very tight fit. I hated to remove it, but it had to go.

I will try to get you some pictures up.

    Thanks Tim

    Looking forward to the pictures

Other than the faded seat, footpads, etc would you consider the project 'finished'?

    Compression numbers would be good.

How does it handle with the larger engine?

Is the impeller matched for the engine power?

Do you know what model year the Genesis engine came from?

Original leftover parts are of interest, like the oil tank, and the oil pump.
