    Tested Riva Open Loop Today....

Well i finally had a chance to get out on the water today and tested the Riva Open Loop Kit and Rideplate.

I must say that this kit is flawless. Instructions are very good and comes with all the clamps, etc and everything has been thought about.

Been running around most of the day and have absolutley no GIO issues and ran strong all day.

Now our temps here today were about 35 C air temp and it was 90 F water temp

So it was pretty hot but this kit is awesome.

I also tested the Riva Open Loop Ride Plate and it is simply amazing how this thing handles now. It actually turns like it should and did see alot of gains in speed but its hard to tell with my setup at the moment. I would recommend buying this plate just for the handling alone.

The only improvement i could see with this kit is a bracket of some kind to hold the flush fitting up as i dont like having a hose just flinging around the engine compartment and you cant cable tie it as you have to get to it often. A nice bracket that can be mounted on top of the engine somewhere would be nice.

The other thing is the shitty looking outlet for the engine water. Would recommend getting a 3/4 inch billet bilge fitting of some kind if your mounting it on the outside of the hull. The riva one is UGLY but it works. I mounted mine in the exhaust block off and you cant see it. Also if i wanted to remove the kit for some reason i just have to buy a new block off and then i dont have to fill any holes in the back of the hull.

All in all its a bloody good kit and am very happy with it.

RIVA COME with the best open loop kit that comes with everything needed to install... i already tested on one of my RXP and this weekend i install it on my second RXP today i hop i can test it ... E-Temp 69F Air temp 24C... But the real test will be in the summer time ... Air temp get 45C and E-temp get up to 95F.

I wonder if I’m still going to need the RIVA Thermostat or take it off in the summer time.

What kind of suprise are you talking about KC?? Not really a big fan of suprises. I thought Dan had this plate close to 90 without issue??

I've got a turbo P and SC X that I'm going to push the envelope on with these plates so I'd like to here your experience.
