    Worx or R&D Intake

Hi, I know its been discussed but not heard much on the Worx Intake Grate. Its to go on a stock 2005 GP1300R, with Solas Prop. Its either the Worx Maxi, R&D aquavein, or Pro-Tec. Only sea use so can expect some chop much of the time, living in the UK! Top speed not such an issue as hole shot.

I have heard that some of these intakes can make it less fun at slow speeds when chucking it about, that they handle a bit too well and dont slide out as much - anyone have views on this?

thanks, was intending to pump seal. Spoke to a local shop who said they'd do it without the kit for an hours labour or so.

I did hear the riva intake was pretty poor quality compared to Worx / R&D

The Riva is actually a little better quality than most of the R&D grates, but I have back to back tested Riva vs R&D and the speeds were identical... I prefer the R&D because its cheaper and the Riva is powdercoated black (powdercoating starts coming off after a few hours of riding)

I have bought 2 new R&D 1200 grates a year ago and the fitment was horrible!!!!! R&D sent me spacers for the front of the grates to take up the big gap. I still have 1 of them sitting on my shelf that i will never use. Has 1 hour of use..now the 800 R&D grates fit nice. I prefer the Riva 1200 grate because they fit good. MAybe R&D had a bad batch of casting or something. Take precaution when mounting them. I put up a post back then with pictures. This is just my personal experience, im sure they are all bad like the ones i bought.
