    Superman

I have been experimenting with getting my feet back when making runs. Getting on the tail of the ski. But, this weekend I saw the best speeds so far by using the superman. Is there any trick or special position when utilizing the superman position? I don't think that I would want to try this on anything by smooth water! Thanks.

The superman position will get you faster speeds. But please becareful in doing this.

When removing your feet from the footwells, you no longer have the lateral stability in keeping your body weight planted evenly on the boat.
All you have now is your stomach on the seat and your hands on the grips.

I, and a few others can attest how hard the water feels if you happen to take a spill at a high rate of speed. It HURTS.

    >>> In a way, its not really worth the extra few tenths you gain by doing this, but we all do it.

Just please becareful and don't do it by yourself with no one around. If you take a spill and hurt yourself, you want someone there to help you. And yes, smooth water only.

Its dangerous doing superman at the speeds we ride at, very similar to a sportbike rider doing a wheelie at high speed or any other stunt.

    Be careful.

When my boat got to 70mph, my Mother made me promise not to superman anymore. Too many old injuries and surgeries.

I guess I will be slower than everyone else.

I really don't see the point in taking the risk. Just get back as far as you can and add .3mph if you wish to account for the superman position.

I love the superman its a rush.

Fastest has been in the 70s

Fastest wipe out in the superman was 60mph.

If your ski is not stable dont even try it.

Flyin- 2 times over 75 mph. It is a rush, but it's starting to lose it's luster. I pick and choose where and when I superman now.
