    Rotax racing intercooler

Is there anyone who has tried to run with this rotax intercooler?

    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=290

I have one on my newly purchased rxp and wonder if this is better or worse than most eftermaknads intercoolers?

that ROTAX RACING Intercooler is also used by the SEADOO Factory team , they change out the RXT / P X IC to the ROTAX RACING , as the output Temp of the RR IC is the lowest on the market , and that is very Important to run more accressiv timming to make more peak power.
also if you ride in saltwater the ROTAX RACING is the best as it has a cooper core and the IC will not leak like other ICs on teh market , the RIVA generation 1 IC was a leaking water and had destroy a few engines.

the new RIVA Generation II and the RXP-X IC are better , and the overall performance is very good, a bit more boost the the ROTAX RACING IC as well.

I hope you have the orginal ROTAX RACING piping as well.

Ok then, this intercooler is a good choice to have in my rxp.
How high top speed do you think I will get with these modifications?
I will run with an x Supercharger, 42's riva 3" air intake, rxp X ECU and free flow exhaust.
There are also a 15/20r, riva pump degrees plate.

the different is very small at the x-SC you are running , bigger SC and well ported engines they need 4 inch , but you will only have like 260 HP , the location of the filter is more important then the seize, the 3 inch RIVA filter is to low in the engine room, thats why there is a effect to change to 4 inch with Flex pipe.

Thanks for clarifying the 3inch over 4 inch comparison.I like the clean look of the 3 inch and solid piping but never considered it draws hot air right off the block. And yes you are very knowledgable and do contribute alot of valuable info to this site

Ok but if I display the filter from the engine, so it should not be so large power loss?

just use a 3 inch flex pipe, and move the filter on top of the fueltank, and make sure the filter is higher then the "hole in the topdeck infront of the seat"

Ok that sounds like a good idea!

Regarding the ROTAX RACING piping, you have an image how they should look like? And how the intercooler will be Situated in the rxp?
Because I have removed my mufler and intercooler was only on it.
