    Usage Hours

    Im tring to get a idea of how long my ski has been run for

    Is there anything I can do to find out or get some sort of idea??

    If the MFD is working, it has an hour meter function.

    The trouble is that sometimes these MFD will spontaneously reset the hour count to zero, then start counting up all over again.

    So the MFD will tell you some number, which will be the minimum run hours, either since new, or since the last MFD reset.

    Rather than focusing on hours, a better approach is to evaluate the engine mechanically. A young engine that has been poorly maintained can 'age' much faster than a well kept engine with much higher run time.

    Compression, bearing play, cylinder clearance and cylinder wall condition, that sort of thing.
