Disassembly of Jet Pump Help
Trying to completly dis assemble my pump.
Got it down to just pump & bearings/guts.
GOt the snap ring out.
Thought would just "tap" out, but no luck.
Is there a special tool or procedure to getting
the oil seals, bearing, etc out of there ???

You need to use a hydrolic press to push out the bearing

So it has to be "pressed" out toward the impeller,
after snap ring is out, correct??

NO!!!... Toward the back of the pump.

Take a look at this picture...

That's the diagram I'm looking at.
I would think it would disassemble by pushing
toward the impeller-- toward the snap ring.
Otherwise what is holding it from pushing out toward
the back (grease cone) ?

maybe i'm using wrong terminology

The snap rings hold the oil seal in place. Press the shaft and bearing out of the rear of the housing. The way that bearing is pressed in and the fact that the impeller pulls it forward ensures that it would never back out.

rear of housing = cone side, or steering nozzle side, exit side
front of housing = prop side, wear ring side, pump shoe side
