Arrow Can anyone tell me what f29801 on my cdi means?

Hi i have a cdi that i was told would raise my hp a bit and it has f29801 on it. I can see it has been modified mayme someone can tell me some info on it. I also have a hot seat head which i would like to put back on it but the only domes i have are ones with 3 dots on them. What size are they? What compresion are they? What fuel would they require to run these domes? P.S its a 1997 slx pro 785

    According to HotSeat:

    1 dot = 92 octane & roughly 165lbs cranking compression
    2 dots = 104 octane & roughly 210lbs of cranking compression
    3 dots = 112 octane
    4 dots = 114 octane

i don't have the specs on that one you might try and call HotSeat and see if they still have them .
You cannot run that head without race fuel the 3 dots are around 200-220 lb of compression way to much for a rec rider

    Welcome to the Hulk 1997.

Those are some nice race parts you got there.

Was wondering what type of exhaust pipes that machine has? How about a pic of them?

The stock 785 had 135 HP, and was pretty much race prepped from the factory. Not a WHOLE lot more you can do to that engine to make more power without sinking ALOT of $$$ into it.

Having the cyls ported would prob be the best bang for the buck. Chances are, if someone added that head and CDI to that engine, port work may have already been done.

785 Lugs has a highly modified Motomarine 785 that's pushing almost 70 MPH.

He's got pics of his ski posted on here if you do a search.
