GP1300R, How to know if has Oil Injection Block-Off

    Hello guys

I just bought a 2008 GP300R but have no idea if it has the Oil Injection Block-Off or what. How do I know that or find out?

    Thanks
    Jay

Follow the line leaving the oil tank that ties in to the oil pump on the flywheel cover (it's hard to see due to the U-pipe). You can also look under the pipe where the intake is located, you will see oil lines there. If you find all of this, it's safe to say you still have oil injection and don't have a block off plate.

The Oil pump and the block off spot can be hard to see if the exhaust is still in. Try and get a mirror in there with a torch to augment the visibility. You should be able to see whats what.

Did the person who you bought it from tell you to the mix gas?

I bought it from a dealer that received it as a trade in so they have no idea.

I would get one of the little mirrors the are extenable to get down in the hull. Follow the oil line from the resoviour to the pump and see if the block-off plate is installed. If not there and you see oil in the line you are still in tact.

old post but I never got to use it. I will check if the block off is there but if I am not sure, what can happen if I do the premix and it turns out that it does not have oil injection block off????
    Thanks

let us understand, you ALREADY added the premix, the required amount of oil to the gas in the tank OR your ABOUT to add the required amount but not sure if the oil block off is still there so your not sure if your still on injection?
