Most fuel efficient speed?
Does anyone know what the most fuel efficient speed is for the RXP/RXP-X?
Sometimes i do distance riding and it would be great to know what speed the peak fuel economy is at so i can get the greatest distance out of a tank of gas.

You ride some distance you say,and i wonder how many hours do you ride on one tank of fuel? Just got my new Rxt IS and are looking forward to ride this at long distances but have no idea of how much fuel it uses in an hour.

by the book a 215hp at wide open throttle consumes 16. 4 u.s. gal/hr on my gtx limited 215hp at 35 to 40 mph i get about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. per tank hope this helps

Don't go by speed, go by RPM. I've found the most fuel efficient RPM, on my RXT-X, to be 5000rpm.
As far as fuel efficient, you really have to define that. Idle is the most fuel efficient, so assuming your going somewhere, what RPM is going to burn the least amount of fuel, per mile. And that's right around 5000 rpm.
Also, boattest.com did extensive testing of this model, and that's were I got my information. I think I can between 4 and 5 mpg, at that rpm.
I've used my GPS, and made quite a few runs up/down river, and calculated my fuel mileage-5000RPM works the best.
At that RPM, I'm running something in the 32 to 34 mph range.

I rekon by the feel of the engine, throttle opening, and how it glides without digging in too much, around the 5500rpm mark.
Seems to feel just right at this speed on the water to me.
Engine not stressed, and gliding with little effort.

0mph works best ...
+1 5-5500rpm seem to be the perfect cruz speed.... theres just the sweet spot you can feel where the ski seems to just cruz better. During my breakin i got about 4hrs to a tanks, now im about 2hrs to a full tank but i also enjoy wot runs alot well see what its like come summer with the new mods

Averaging between 5-6K rpm with a few 7K-8k blast I have ridden for 74-75 miles on a tank on my PX. Granted, there were no bars of fuel showing when I got back to the doc. I went straight to the gas station on my way home and I was able to put right at 14 gallons of gas in the ski.

I have an X boat and the dam thing drinks gas faster than I drink beer. Best speed is 35 -40 but it still is a guzzler. That's what you get when you have the baddest sled on the water. It's worth it.

Around 5000 rpm.
Any higher and the supercharger brings the boost up and fuelconsumption is higher.

best fuel mileage i get is when i'm pulling it behind my truck
when i 1st got my ski i did a number of long trips and it did very well around the 4 to 5k rpm's -- but now with the mods i have i can't even come close to the distance i used to get
