    heat exchanger

    Is this the heat exchanger that everyone is using?

    that is what i went with 40 plate because our water is so hot 85 to 90 deg in the summer w 95 deg outside air temps here in fla

    danny did a bunch of testing and found that a 16 plate has the same cooling the stock ride plate and 30 plate is what most run ...

    i look at it as we have a thermostat it will keep it where it needs to be ..thought about removng the center of the thermostat .and just using it as a restrictor....then it would just cool continiusely kinda like open loop ..

    i glued a mouse pad to the tray and bungied it down the hook is in the same place as the hooks for the exhaust do riviting it to the hulll was ok

    Yea, thats the same style..OVERKILL, but will work fine. I would go with a 30 plate, slightly shorter in height for mounting purpose...

    +1 on the 30 plate, 40 is to bulky IMO.

    bulky ???mmm mine fit in quite nice ...its not summer yet .but i am sure 30 is fine ..danny is very thourgh with his testing...way better than running salt water through the engine IMO ...

    Im in the process of installing a 20 plate.I just got done having the bracketry welded up and am planning on the complete install this weekend..Ill post pics tomorrow of the bracket and plumbing for you guys to see also..
