    looking for 96xp advice

Hey all... I have been playing with ski's for some time now ,the last ten yrs or so .. I have some parts laying around and would like to build up a motor for my xp I purchased a 96 race boat w/no title(a basket case literly) ...got some nice novi carbs, head, c112 domes nice ported motor 83.5 pistons ,true and welded crank ,skat pump w/ matching impellar, factory pipe spec 2 w/a modified tailcone...etc problem is dont know if crank is good or bad , can't get the flywheel off... to split cases, don't know why the pipe tail cone was (shortened) more accelleration?? However ,i would like use some of this stuff to build a rough water xp , not interested in 112 octane , could the motor be used in 92oct. format ? looking for suggestions .... I have been on this forum before on the yammi side , I used to sink my money into a gpr ..its long gone took some time off and have just recently started playing again.

i wouldnt even start building until I knew for sure about the crank, it may take some heat, but get it apart and have it checked, as for the domes, either buy a higher CC set or have someone cut them out, make sure its a mechanic/machinist that knows what they are doing regarding proper cc and squish, sounds like you have the start to a great boat, just take your time and do it right and it will be a blast!!

I have tried heat on the flywheel bolts ... no luck (red hot) this motor has been port matched everywhere and I would really like to know its true condition. Is thier a turn key motor builder? (recomendation)????? I am located in north Tx .Looking for a good formula for quick xp??? Some one here has the recipe???

Check out the link below. There is a wealth of info on this sight.
These guys are impressive and seem to have thier craft of 2 stroke
    mods down to a science.

They offer a number of mod kits from mild to wild. Im personally planning
on doing a 951 swap into a x4 hulled XP in the coming months. And plan
on going with thier hammer kit. ( Itching to build a scary fast x4)

Anyways just thougt I would shoot that out there, they are only a few
states away from you. Good Luck!

That's what I was thinking too, but was awaiting confirmation. No sense typing something when it is the wrong end. Been there done that...

Apparently your sense of smell must be diminishing, the gentleman asked a question I answered it (IMO). just thought our friend above might find group K a little more informative from a technical standpoint.

Funny how the fella's questions go unanswered, soon as newbie breaks the ice
the forum hawks swoop to pick and talk smack. Thanks for the warm welcome, and hey maybe if the smellin thing don't work out you seem up to
par on proof reading. (site) sorry.
