Yamaha Superjet questions
I am new in the Yamaha forum and i would like to ask your opinion regarding my new ski. I recently bought a used Superjet in excellent condition with the following mods on it:
- Riva plate
- Rive intake grate
- Rive exchaust
- Umi Handlepole
- Umi Steering system
- Hydroturf mat (which i will change to new ones)
- Kicker footwells.
What i wanted to ask is should i be aware of something regarding the hull and generally about the ski? I have read that Yamaha hulls are notorious for having an incomplete foam "air void" between the through hull rear exhaust tube and the outside edge of the hull in this area and usually damage is being created by incomplete barrel rolls. That why you need to reinforce that side of the hull
I dont know if this is true or not, thats why i want your opinion on this matter. Also, should i stay with the Riva intake grate or shall i change to Worx?
Its the first time i have a stand up and i would like to know what i shall do in order to avoid possible problems.
Thanks in advance,

If you are going to go to the waves make sure you get a pole limiter kit.
I have a worx intake grate and i like it but i have never used the riva one.
Does the ski have a bilge pump? or duck bill drainage system? you will need one of these if you are looking to do tricks.
What year is the ski?
They are great fun in the waves enjoy it

Yes it has the a dual bilge pump. The model is 2002. I will try to upload a few pics for you to see it. The only reason that i am asking is cause i do not know which performs best in saltwater and especially in rough waters. If you asked me about a Seadoo i would have told you Worx by far. But know its a little bit confusing.
