    Bilge Pumps

I have noticed that my 1100 ZXi has a bilge system. I am curious how this works if it is pump less? I have an extra wire that looks like that goes to the battery but not sure what that is connected to. Really haven't got around to investigating it yet.

Would it be a good idea to install a Rule 25 float pump? If so how do some go about mounting these and where? Also do you tie into the bilge lines already there?

    -Thanks

welcome to the forum! Here is the bilge system on your ZXi. it works on the siphon system when the engine is running while the jetpump is expelling water. I would recommend installing a RULE 500 bilge pump as a means to get rid of any water if you happen to have accumulation of it. There are some Kawi gurus that will assist in a location to help you shortly.

Thanks for the quick response. I had seen that diagram before which led me to this question as it had me a little puzzled since I didn't see a pump. I assumed it works as you described but I wanted to be sure. The Rule 500 gph, that is the exact one I was thinking of. I would like to put one in if I can find a place to mount it. Do you know if I can "T" into the exsiting bilge plumbing or will that cause problems with the siphoning from the pump?

    -Thanks

No you cant T into it. You just need to put in a thru hull fitting for it. I think its hot products that makes some nice looking billet ones.

That is what I figured. I would like to put it out the back but it is kind of tight getting back there.
