    Pro 785 front cowling

What is the best way to keep water from coming in the front of the 785 pros?

The race ski i bought has black duct tape all around the front end, and the previous owner said it was a precautionary measure to keep water out, but it never sealed very good?

My old 95 750 seals tight as a drum, but the pros seem to have a bigger gap up there,

    Standing by,

Yes its out, it just seems like a pretty big gap on the pro 785 compared to the 750's, it looks like he had put some weather strips around the edge to seal it better,

If you re-install the fire extinguisher comp and the storage tray that should take care of the big gap. I bought one and it was the same, w/o the compartments. I thought I was going to sink the thing. Once I re-installed everything, it was alot better.

I agree. All you really even need is the fire extinguisher compartment and you should be pretty well sealed up.

I need one. empty up there. I guess it would fit with the pipes up front too? They seem to hug the sides pretty tight. I think it would fit in there.

Or else I have some weatherstriping that I could stick in the gap.

It will all fit as long as you have stock pipes. When you go with the Hot Seat pipes, you need to cut up the storage compartment.

I'm really not sure what pipes I have in there. they are r and d shortened pipes. Looks like it would fit in there. I could make one out of fiberglass too. or something close to hold the extingusher.

If I'm not mistaken, those are stock pipes just cut down and shortened. Lugs should be able to verify that.

there just stock pipes shortened up around 2 inches so a tray will fit back in there
