What can i do to my 650sx?

Over the summer I got a 1989 650sx for free off some old guy that just wanted it off his lift. When I first got it the thing wouldn't run but that was an easy fix. Since it is running right I always wonder what I can do to it to make it go faster and jump higher.

Depends upon what it already has, how much you weigh, your ability, etc

    Higher Compression head
    Dry Pipe (Coffman Pipe)
    Foot Wells
    Extended Ride Plate

Post some pics of the engine compartment and what your compression numbers are?

check ebay and on the classifieds here. there are other forums more dedicated to stand ups like www.x-h20.com.

bigger carbs will give you more power across the band
higher compression heads will give you more hole shot and power out of tricks

extended plate will give you more stable ride (less bounce)

Yea +1. I didn't think anyone did standups on GH.

If Joe doesn't want it, PM me with with a price for the Shredmaster.

Oh, and here's my 650 SX I got this winter fresh off my truck with snow on the nose:

    Kinda cute.

$275 shipped in the 48 states. It is new never installed. The instructions and bolts are still taped to the grate just like it came out of the box.

A 15.5 straight pitch skat trac prop will make that thing pull nice and hard for your weight, and will pull even better if you keep building it. The 650 doesn't like tall props.
