Riva-Vortech SC Impeller---Noise
After installing the sc impeller between 4000-5300 rpms I hear a lot of noise clanging sound. Goes away after 5300 rpms. Anyone else notice this? By the way it was installed correctly.

David, pull the hose off of your SC outlet and check for gray dust.

Spun it many times by hand before installation sounded great. Also I should add it is performing great I am turning 8450 rpms. Now I need to get back off the rev limiter.

We had the same prob with mine, only at mid rpm would you hear it rubbing. Take it off and check it before you damage the SC! You will see marks on the walls of the housing.

Mosoon, I am running a repithced solas 14/19. I have got to get back off rev limiter with another repitch or smaller nozzle. You can hear it missing when it hits 8450 rpms.

Jerry, No dust clean as can be. Run yours without the k & N filter and see if your notice the strange sound I am talking about between 4000-5000 rpms.
