    GTX 4tec wont start

At a loss here, have an 03 gtx 4tec. The ski sat for about a year and a half. Put a new battery in it, went to start and it would just click. So I replaced the solenoid and again same thing. Cleaned the ground connections on the block, and at the battery. Still same old clicking. Any ideas? Getting frustrated fast. Thanks

Couple simple thoughts ... take a good look at the pump and intake, make sure there is nothing 'stuck' there. Next, remove the spark plugs and try it ... that will reduce compression to zero and allow the motor to potentially turn over very easily if there is nothing else wrong. With the spark plugs out, if the motor still does not turn over, you can remove the jet pump, then use a spare impeller (and a towel so you don't cut your hands) and try to move the motor by hand ... you should be able to.

I can turn the motor over by hand. Also if I jump the solenoid it will turn over. For some reason the solenoid is not transfering power to other post. And it is a new solenoid.

Signal from start button energizes solenoid. Un plug start button harness, ohm out start button.

I was getting readings all over the board. Is there a way to bypass the start button or hook up an external start button to check if thats the problem before i spend the money on a new one? Thanks
