    Headlight Lens Restoration Kits

Has anyone used any of these kits sold at Walmart or auto parts store that restores your fogged over headlight lens? What brand works because they range from $8 to $20. The Meguier kit looked promissing with a drill attached buffing pad and there special blend of liquid cleaner no sand paper or abrasive pads to use but for $20 I would def wants some opinions rite! Turtle wax is the cheapest I found at the $8 level but used the pads. I don't like the idea of useing someting abrasive on plastic lens covers so what really works?

I've used Meguiars PlasticX. Works good on the lexan sight ports on our pool pumps. Cleans up the oxidation really well. As for headlights, depends on how bad they are too.

At work we get some people that want there head lights restored. The way we do it is with a mini da. Sand it with 1000g,1500g and then 2000 wetsand paper. Then we use a flitz buffing wheel to polish it and make it clear as it was new. Then a coat of wax on them. Works great but it takes about 2hours.

A product called "blue magic" works. It should be around $5. It is a chrome and metal polish but works wonders on headlights.

I know, old post. For some reason, when i opened GH, it took me to this page.
