    Bilge pump exit on RXP

    Hey guys,

Thinking of putting a bilge in my 07 RXP and having trouble thinking of where to mount the exit for the bilge. I know it needs to be high...if I mount it in the upper engine cover below the grab handle it will be a b*tch to take the cover off each time because I have to disconnect the bilge fitting!! If I mount it near the tow hook..it might be too low.

So anybody with a bilge on an RXP..where did you mount yours?

I drilled out the bilge outlet location in the pump shoe. It exits into the water. I looped the exit line up by the cooolant tank to avoid back syphon. Work great for me. It has pumped out my water many times from dunking it. The downside is you don't see the spray to know you have water inside, but mine is on a lighted switch panel that shows when the pump is running. Whatever you decide, defintely worth it. I don't think the bailer system could help you in a catastrophic failure.

Good idea, something I was going to do! Mount a light so I can see when the pump is running.
