Well all I have to say is that I have a nice winter project ahead of me again. I rebuilt it last winter and now I have to do it again.
Heres the story...
A few weeks ago my ski almost sank(yes i dont have a bilge pump, i do now though) and the motor sucked in quite a bit of water. I got it towed home and tore it apart and everything looked fine so i cleaned it and got all the water out and oiled the **** out of everything, got new gaskets and threw it together. Started it on the hose and it was running great, no problems at all. Wel the next day i want out on the water and not ten minutes into my ride dosnt it seize!!!! Well i hit the stop button right away. Then I restarted it a few minutes later and limped back.
Anyways now i have it apart again and it turns out that the oil pump cable shimmied its way off the bracket on the carbs and it was getting hardly any oil.......heres the damage, #3 seized really hard(three diff. places) and #1 and #2 have slight seize marks. As far as the crank, i dont know yet.
Well what i want to know is how much would it cost me to go 1300 ported?
Also.... Would it be in my best interest to send the crank out to have it inspected?
All pics are of cylinder and piston #3.
Any input is great...

yes I would have the crank looked at and if it still good have it welded. you can try TDR in Pompano Beach Florida for that, or a local shop that you TRUST. maybe www.islandracing.net
for the cylinders, I would give lowell a call and see what he has to say.

going ported BB 1300 is minimum 1700 just for the engine. After you do the pump impeller and other necessary mods you will have $4000 into it.
