    Engine rebuild.

I had a burnt piston on the front of the engine after teardown the bearing on the front of the crankshaft rattles and is a little stiff. Can the bearing be replaced or does the crankshaft need to be rebuilt? Any information would be helpfull.

crankworks can rebuild your OEM crank for you and replace the bearing. If you decide a different route....SBT also sells cranks w/ exchange of yours.

    What ski is it ?
On a GP1200 the front bearing slips on.
Look at a parts drawing it will show you a drawing on the crank etc.

    Crankshaft

Hi Check out ShortBlocksRus.com they do Great work and have FREE RETURN SHIPPING and a discount for Hulk Members when you call in here is a link to there crankshaft section.

Unlike a lot of rebuilders they replace all the rods and bearings in there rebuilt cranks I have called many crank and engine shops and they only replace what is BAD.

Someone said Crank Works there also a good rebuilder. but how ever you go with to rebuild ask them what parts they are going to replace If they only replace what is needed there doing a HALF A_s job.

I Use ShortblocksRus.com for all my crankshafts and shortblocks in my shop and have for about 15 years I buy about 200 crankshafts and engine from them a year.

Get after it Fast Summer is coming

    Good Luck

I've heard absolutely nothing good about SBT.

If you replace your crank get an OEM crank and pay the extra 100 bucks to have it trued and welded. I just did a 701 crank for my Blaster this way, it's expensive, but hopefully you don't have to do it again.
