    05 RXP HESITATION AT TOP END

    IT WILL NOT KEEP THE RPMS WIDE OPEN AT 8500 RPMS WHEN IT HITS 8500 OR 8550 IT JUST STARTS TO DROP DOWN TO 8200 THEN IT CLIMBS BACK UP AND HESITATES AND GO BACK DOWN TO 8200 IT JUST WON'T STAY BARRIED AT WIDE OPEN
    I THAUGHT IT WAS THE REV LIMITER KICKING BUT A BUDDY SAID ITS RICH ON TOP END

    WHAT DO YOU THINK... ANY IDEAS

    Jose, your supercharger clutch is slipping.

    YOU THINK SO ITS BRAND NEW B KIT WITH GOOD WASHER I HAVE PLENTY OF BOOST...

    Yep, that clinches it even more for me now. Its definately your supercharger clutch slipping. Those coated metal washers Les uses on his B kits slip very soon. I have seen them slip in less than 5 hours of use.

    Put a shim in it!

    Jose, i have seen and "felt" this many times. When the clutch slips at high RPM's you can actually feel the ski surge in and out as the RPM's go up and down.

    shim the clutch and you will be fine.

    Next time it slips turn the steel washers over. If they have a colored coating rough them up a little. Try 12lbs slip it will last longer this time.
