gp1200r modification advice??
Hey guys,I'm new to this forum. Someone told me I should check it out due to how many people on here show interest in the gpr's,and he was right.
I have a 2000 yamaha gp1200r, millenium edition with 26 original hours on it.
I'd like to do some modifications to it to increase the acceleration. I wouldn't mind a little more top speed, but I really just want to get to 63-64 mph in a hurry.
I'm not looking to build a fire breathing water rocket. I'd really like to get it sounding more aggressive also.
Any insight would be great.
Also,if anyone lives around the Alabama Gulf Coast, let me know. It would be nice to find some people to ride with.

Welcome to the Hulk.
Most of the info you seek is in the sticky threads. Read and then post some questions you might have.

We are working with the same equipment, in the same location bud. I live on Fowl River. Where are you located? I have 2 skis: 1999 XL1200Limited and a 2000 Millinium GP1200R. I'm always looking for people to ride with. All my buddies either use my skiis or boat or they have their own boat. I want Fowl River to be full of skiis. I am out on the water every weekend weather permitting. So if your in the area and see the old grey and white GPR don't hesitate to wave me down. Welcome to GH, I'm still a newbe too. lol
