    wrong oil!

    Hey guys! I am posting for a friend of mine. He has I believe an 07 gti. He let some friends borrow the ski and they apparently got a low oil warning of some sort while riding. They then proceeded to add two stroke oil to the engine. I am not sure how much was added. The ski was ran for approximately 20 minutes after adding the oil. They had no obvious problems. He was just wandering if a regular oil change will be sufficient or should other measures be taken. Thanks!

    change it a few times....it will hold onto .5 to .75 liters every change.......it's not the end of the world but you definately want to get it out

    more detail:
    This is what I would do.

    Don't crank it........suck as much oil out as possible.....refill with 4STROKE oil
    let idle on hose for 3-4 minutes to mix it up again
    change oil again with new filter
    let idle again
    change oil again
    lety idle again
    change oil with new filter again

    GO RIDE

    i would change that filter every time you change the oil and then some, that 2 stroke's gonna gum up the filter till its all gone, but if it was running fine with it in there you'll probably be alright.

    Why not just pull the filter... and change the oil several times while it's on the trailer & flush hose... then install a new filter afterwards Them things ain't cheap

    That was going to be my next question. Whether or not I needed to put a filter in there each time since it would just be for a few minutes of running on the hose. Your right big daddy, that can get a little expensive. Though it is still cheaper then engine rebuilds if necessary.

    I would personally change the oil 3-4 times without the filter installed... then put a new one in on the final change. I would change the oil again after 5 hours or so on the water. Just buy a case of the cheapest oil that you can find as you will keep changing it after every few minutes of run time.

    I agree with bigdaddy just go to the auto parts buy a case of Valvoline 4 strock motocycle oil($2.89-$3.00 a qt.) and follow procedures without the filter. If you go and buy XS Seadoo oil at 8.00+ you or your friend would be brock and can't buy your go fast parts.
