You can run it on pump gas or race gas. It comes with 2 sets of domes with different compression, one for pump gas and one for race gas.

I've got a killer set of 42mm NOVI carbs I could package with the motor. You would have a mean XP.

Ideally to get the most out of the motor the way it was built you would need a better set of carbs (which I have for sale as well..42 NOVI). You could run the stock pipe with no problem..but something like a factory would be best. Timing is optional. Basically a decent set of carbs is what you would want at a minimum.

With just carbs and pump gas the boat should run 64-66 mph on GPS. Many varibles involved so hard to say. This motors strong point is acceleration and mid-range, it will rip your arms off.

    She sure is purdy!

He would need an impeller like a solas X0, X1 or a skat 16/24 swirl 85/88 nozzles to make it scream!
    Those 42's will hit hard!!

When built right these motors are bullet proof. My GSX is a limited setup with a miller rec1 port job on the jugs & it runs 61 - 62mph & went through hell to finally get it there. It's still kicking after 6 yrs & 150+ hrs on that motor.
