cut a few inches off mine and drilled holes through the baffle seems fine little bit more of a growl and pop when coming unhooked

snoman no need to cut the W/B no gain, the only way you gain 1+ mph is to reduce a litter amount of water goint into the W/B ,went you do that a will sound like a ferrari .... thas only on a 08 and up W/B

Just DO NOT change the rear inverted baffle, as it is used to deflect exhaust from the rear in the event of water starvation...3.5" is the most you want to chop off...and if you do, remove the baffle wall as much as possible and make the outlet flush inside...

    ----------

skoepp, did you touch the front of the box at all? If you didn't touch the baffle wall or the outlet inside, then you actually increasd backpressure on that box

...and thus creating a possible hotspot and making the aluminum brittle when the water hits it when going to idle right after a long WOT run.
