1997 Yamaha Wave Venture 760 to 1100 engine swap

How hard is it to swap out the 760 for 1100? I have a 96 raider 1100 with a bad hull and a 97 venture 760 with a bad engine.

Is it a direct bolt on or will I have to modify anything else?

Motor mounts in Waveventure hull has the spots already in it to switch from 2cyl to 3cyl.just need to move front ones forward. The electronic need to be switched over! Exhaust also needs to switched. The pump and pump shaft stay but the prop needs to be changed do to diff rpms. This is a easy swap and you have everything exept prop. I would def do this. Waveventures with 1100's are a blast to ride.

Did you do the swap? I did mine. It was a easy job. Mine was a 1996 1100 Venture engine into a 2000 gp760. I also installed the 155mm venture pump and left it alone with the stock prop. Its a very fun (insane low end pull) and extremely reliable machine. Its also smooth and quiet. If there was anything to complain about it would be fuel consumption but its not really that bad at all. I did mine a year ago. Even the midshaft was no problem. Be sure to pre-tap the virgin 8mm hull/motor mount threads before blasting the bolts down. I also installed a gp1200 info gauge but im not sure that was needed.
